The Hatfield's and McCoy's are back at it again but this time they're having fun instead of feuding. The Hatfield McCoy Reunion Festival will be celebrating its 14th anniversary in Matewan and Williamson, West Virginia and Pikeville Kentucky. The festival will include a variety of activities, events and free entertainment suitable for the whole family.
Tour the sites of the world famous Hatfield McCoy Feud. The tour will include narration by one of the country's leading experts on the Feud. Stops include the Hog Trial site, the place where Johnse and Roseanna met, the spot where Devil Anse Hatfield's brother was murdered, the Paw Paw Massacre site, the home of the McCoys and the location of the New Years Day Raid. We will also stop in Matewan to learn about the Matewan Massacre, an event that led to the largest battle on U.S. soil since the Civil War. We will also tour the museum in Matewan with exhibits related to the Feud and Matewan Massacre. Tours will last three hours and leave from the Sycamore Inn in Williamson at 9am, 1pm, and 4pm. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Spaces are limited to 24 per tour so reserve your seat today.
